Hobbes has been my companion for the kind of rides that remind you life is bigger than your calendar. The kind of bike that makes you take the long way home…or point it toward somewhere ridiculous just because you can.

Part motorcycle. Part therapist. Part passport.

This bike deserves to be ridden…not sit under a cover while I try to figure out the next chapter.

If you're looking for a small lightweight in-town commuter, this probably isn't your bike. But, if you're looking for a comfortable, capable machine that you can commute to work with or a bike that will allow you to cross states on Friday and explore a forest service road on Saturday, you'll understand why I bought Hobbes in the first place.

The Honest Stuff

No sketchy stories. No accidents. No repair catastrophes.
I wanted a powerful machine to drive me across the Western United States and back.
So, I researched and bought the best bike I could find for that mission.
I drove it off the showroom floor at Spirit Motorcycles/San Jose in 2025 and brought it home.
95% of the riding has been on the road with 5% off road. It turns out I ride pavement more than dirt.

This is a clean, adult-owned bike that has been cared for the way you’d hope.
Pick-up Only/Will not ship.
I'm happy to provide additional photos or walkaround videos for serious buyers.
All in-person evaluations are done at the CHP Parking Lot in Modesto, CA

I want the buyer to feel confident in the motorcycle, and I also need to protect both of us.
Test rides are available only with a valid motorcycle endorsement, proof of insurance, and the full asking price in cash (or verified funds) in my hand before the ride. If you're not comfortable with that, I completely understand, but I won't make exceptions.
