In the summer of 2022, I recognized that it was time for me to find my new dog. You can read about how I found Champ here. Kendra was curious as to why I always chose big dogs like labs or goldens and mentioned her preference for small dogs. My dear readers of theMangoTimes, you don’t know what those words meant to me. I began immediately to find the perfect pooch for her. It took about 3 hours and a quick drive to Northern California, but that is how we welcomed Bess the Boston Terrier into our home and our hearts.

From one look at her face, you know that Bess is up to something ALL THE TIME. I’ve never had the pleasure of living with a Boston Terrier, but they are FANTASTIC DOGS. They are super smart, super loyal and great with every member on the family regardless of age or comfort with dogs.

Of course, with any new addition to the family, there's always an adjustment period. Bess quickly learned the system. She loves to pester Champ the Black Lab and chase Bailey the Cat, but they've done a great job of showing her who's boss. Though Bess may think she's at the top of the pack, she's quickly learning her place in our household and at the end of the day you will find her cuddled next to Kendra for warmth and protection. We're thrilled to have her as the newest member of theMangoTimes zoo!
