    Marriage, Kids, and Martin Luther

Just about everyone knows that we are expecting number seven. I've received everything from congratulations to witty sarcasm to complimentary blogs about the roses/arrows arrangement I gave to Kendra. I've also received a few blank stares and classless statements...both of which are easy for me to dismiss. This morning I realized something very cool - we now account for 50% of my parent's 14 grandchildren. So, it has been a week of mixed responses and cool discussions, but nothing cooler then a quote my wife sent:

"The purpose of marriage is not pleasure and ease but the procreation and education of children and the support of a family.... People who do not like children are swine, dunces, and blockheads, not worthy to be called men and women, because they despise the blessing of God, the Creator and Author of marriage" - Martin luther, Christian History, Issue 39, p. 24

I think that if Martin Luther were still alive and making comments like this today, it wouldn't be just the Pope that wanted to kill him! It would be all those swine, dunces and blockheads too!

    Quietly making noise,
    Fletch
