    Narrow Minded Religion

Sometimes the accusations come from outside of the Christian community and sometimes they come from within the walls of Christendom.

So, if you are speaking to me about Christianity in general, then I think I know what you mean by being narrow-minded. But didn't someone once say, "I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through me"? Oh yeah, that was Jesus who said that. He also made some reference to two gates. One is broad which many enter and leads to destruction. The other gate He said was narrow which few enter and that gate leads to salvation. So, let's all recognize who the narrow-minded one is here - it's Jesus.

However, if you are one of those people that thinks I'm the one that is narrow-minded (with my theology within Christianity), then I definitely agree with you. I could not agree with you more. You see, words like "chosen, elect, particular, and limited" tend to depict a narrow view of God's dealing with man. I get it. I see where you think I may be narrow-minded, but, believe me, I am not. Like you, I remain shocked that God chooses ANY OF US to be saved.

    Quietly making noise,
    Fletch
