I searched theMangoTimes and realized that I have written several times about the famous Fletcher “Fuzz Buzz” without ever offering the recipe. Since this adult slurpee is a summertime staple around our kitchen and it’s been a scorcher in the Central Valley this past week, I thought I would finally break open the vault and let everyone enjoy these frozen summer beauties. Have a great weekend and enjoy the photos of these yummy treats (Read: I expect to be invited over…).
Fuzz Buzz (makes a pitcher)
4 peaches (remove pit, but leave on skin…that’s the fuzz part)
1 large can limeade
Vodka (that’s the buzz part)
Ice (to taste)
Combine all ingredients and blend until thick, icy and smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

“Fresh Peaches (We hand picked ours tonight!)”
Quietly Making Noise,
Fletch
***Yes, yes, yes…these are adult slurpees, and I left out pictures of the vodka, so don’t forget to add one can vodka for each batch. Of course, if you want the “kid version” you can leave the vodka out. That’s how the mangokids like them! Cheers!

I will make them — if you, Kendra and all your Mango’s will come! Just name the time–hehe!
That would be so fun!
All this blogging goodness and recipes, too! Wow!! The good news, my peach tree is loaded with fruit. The bad news, it is all still quite green. Grow little peaches, GROW!
Mmmmm…. We are all about the good drinks up here in WA. Thanks for the recipe. And I see you have a Vitamix! There is NOTHING better to mix drinks with. Seriously – that’s half of what makes a good drink I think.
Woo-hoo! My mom and I were talking about these the other day when it was something like 106. We were wondering if you would be willing to share your recipe, thanks a bunch!
Grow little peaches, grooooow!
Oh that looks so yummy. Thanks for the recipe.
Susan
Wow…everyone comes to comment when you post your favorite alcoholic slurpee…
It’s all about the Vitamix, but I like Fuzz Buzzes so much that I would self-gnaw the ice and mix by hand it in a bowl if I had to…
By the way, I noticed the dark blue bottle hidden by the blender in the last picture
Just thought you should know that Amy and I are sitting here, kids asleep, reading blogs…. and totally “fuzz buzzed.” sAnk Yooo fer da RecIpee FeTch.
Oh. That was Cutzi posting.
At Amy’s house.
But the kids sleep so much better, when I put vodka in theirs too!
Welcome to the good life…Amy and Cutzi!
You now know why we have two hammocks that swing underneath fans on our back porch…and we pay the mangokids to swing us…
Is there a mormon version?
No…I don’t know of a mormon version, but if you drink enough of them really fast…you just might see Moroni or hear the tabernacle choir singing in the background.
Andy,
Don’t you remember that the Fuzz Buzz Formula was a secret and was only to be given out on New Years Eve at 12:00 midnight on the dot. And that three full bloodied Italians from the FAMILY were to be present for the sharing ceremony? How will I ever be able to face the family again????? I am shamed and will no doubt be drummed out of the Carlino/LaTorre clan for life.
Thanks for sharing the family secret with us…if you need a place to come for holidays now, feel free…
We had to adjust the recipe a little since we don’t have such a nice blender, so we make it one glass at a time. Maybe someday we’ll try the adult version, but until then, enjoying the kiddy version.
Thanks again.
I didn’t realize I had violated some wacky family/Italian tradition…but that’s my mother… You have to realize that she still has me avoid cracks in the sidewalk when I go for a walk (because of the whole “break your mother’s back” threat).
